- [Son]Thomas was born 24 Feb 1666 Kent and died 1698 in Cranbrook. He married Elizabeth Hayward (1655-1731) on 27 May 1684 Wadhurst Sussex. He was the son of William Boorman (born 10 May 1640 Goudhurst Kent) and Sarah (1640-1695) - sources listed as ancestry family trees and UK extracted probate records on ancestry

Other options from other researchers regarding early Boormans of Hawkhurst:
- baptism of William Boreman, son of James on 5 Mar 1653/54 aged 22, Hawkhurst Kent. This wouild give Willam a DOB of about 1631
- 1652/53: did he have an older child Elizabeth? A Hawkhurst baptism of Elizabeth BOREMAN on 20 Feb 1652/53 with William as father and a note of "civil war period".
- 1685: at the time of his daughter Sarah’s baptism 18 Sep 1685 in Hawkhurst, her father William is listed as deceased, so he was either the William who was buried 18 Apr 1676 or 21 Mar 1679/80.
- this William had 4 children: Mary 1662, William 1664, Thomas 1666, Sarah 1675 and perhaps an earlier daughter Elizabeth 1652.53?
- there was a William born 1633, son of Thomas Boorman and Sarah Fuller, married 1617
- there was a William born 1623, son of William Boorman and Katherine, married 1618
- earlier in the 1500s there were 2 Boorman siblings:

So there were 2 Willliams in Hawkhurst, possibly similar in age and perhaps having children at the same time? This puts in question whose children were whose, with no mother’s names listed in the baptism entries ???
