- 1698 Administrix of husband Thomas’ effects. She and William Boorman prepared an inventory and exhibited it at court
- 1698-99 she was rated for the house and lands in Hartley, rent £20 which were subsequently occupied from 1700 by Thomas Emet
- 1706-15 she was probably rated for a house in Cranbrook town, rent £1
- 1725 Widow of Cranbrook. Bequeathed money and goods to sons Thomas and William and £20 to granddaughter Elizabeth Wells. Will witnessed by brother William Hayward. Also witnessed by John Bullock, same gent who witnessed the 1724 will of William Hayward [likely her brother]; John Bullock seems to have written many wills in Cranbrook at this time. Another researcher says: “I compared the signature of William Hayward as a witness on the will of Elizabeth Boorman to that of his own will [1736] and there is no doubt whatsoever that they are one and the same.”

RESEARCH NOTES
- last name originally entered as Mayward - may be a typo - original source says Hayward
- As their first son Thomas Boorman was born 17 Oct 1684, less than 9 months after their marriage, this was suggested as a reason for the parents' marriage, and for it happening in a different parish, across the border in Sussex.
- another source lists has this Elizabeth dying as a girl, buried 11 Apr 1664 Cranbrook, Kent. Also shows her sister, another Elizabeth [L6GS-KRV], being born 1664 in Cranbrook and marrying a Richard Hodgkins 30 Oct 1694 in Biddenden and having 5 children (Thomas, Richard, William, Elizabeth and Richard). No sources listed or since found. Check out father Robert Hayward’s will as a possible source for the name Hodgkins, but could not find any such reference.
- The 1684 probate of her father Robert Heyward (will dated 1680) lists wife Margaret and children William, Elizabeth, Judith and Elizabeth - only 1 Elizabeth. The will also implies (but doesn't declare outright) that Elizabeth, Judith and Isaac had not yet reached the age of 24. [The will summary included this clause: "Elizabeth Heyward, daughter, 1 part within 6 month of father's death or when she turns 24 and not before".] In 1680, the critical year of birth would be 1656. Elizabeth's 1655 baptism date would make her a little bit older by about a year. If this clause was taken as a true indication of her age, someone might therefore assume there was a later Elizabeth born and the older one died young. But the clause allows for the eventuality of a child being both under or over the age of 24. It is not clear cut. So we are giving it the benefit of the doubt and are open to the possibility that the age clauses might have been standard for single children mentioned in wills and it could still apply to someone over 24.
