Robert and Ethel Thomas returned to Leicestershire where their son Arthur was born and then went to Kelowna BC, around the time of the first world war, and his wife and children followed, with a female relative to help her, when he was established. [Their daughters] Winifred Joyce, and her elder sister Violet were born in Kelowna. I believe Robert Thomas was in the police there as well. He developed a Chinese style garden there but sold up (the Depression?) and returned to Leicestershire in around 1930.
