- baptism location varies: Woofardisworthy, Devon? Or Morwenstow, Cornwall? - I think that Woolfardisworthy might be associated with his wife Mary.
- there is another John Neale baptised 10 Oct 1624 Morwenstow, son of John Neale and Margarett - John Neale married Margaret Cleverdon 22 Jan 1623 - not sure how related
- number of children not certain. 8 Children listed by one source, Richard and Nicholas had baptisms only 3 days apart??? - not sure if the second Elizabeth and Anthony are valid. Cornwall OPC site lists only 5 baptisms for children of John and Mary Neale in Morwenstow: Richard, Sidwell, Mary, Joan, Elizabeth. (only 1 Elizabeth, no Nicholas, no Anthony)

- can’t find wedding in Cornwall OPC database. Perhaps they married in Devon?

bef 1653 when John was 28, he married Mary. Born abt 1629 in ?Woolfardisworthy, Devon, England. Mary died in 1721; she was 92. Buried on 5 Dec 1721 in Morwenstow, Cornwall, England.

RESEARCH NOTES
- No Neale marriages found in Woolfardisworthy [IGI/familysearch batch M05219-1] but records don’t start until the 1700’s (perhaps 1670) from this source.
- according to the OPC for Woolfardisworthy (and member of the Devon FHS): “There are no Woolfardisworthy Parish Register records prior to 1723 as the earlier records are believed to have been destroyed in a fire. However, some of the Bishops Transcripts are available. The book NATIONAL INDEX OF PARISH REGISTERS Volume 8 part 5 - the Devon section - has the following entry regards the survival of Bishops Transcripts: 1607-08, 1614, 1617, 1623, 1630-32, 1644, and the next is 1670-72 etc. .... Some of the pages are torn and others difficult to read. “ So it seems that no parish records survived for a wedding in or around 1650.
