- The findagrave memorial for W E & Stella in Ebenezer Cemetery has no dates. However, there is a very similar memorial on the same site for a William E Orrick, 1884-1965, buried in New Ebenezer Cemetery, and a note has been added that he was the husband of Stella Orrick. Both cemeteries are listed in Pike County Arkansas. My assumption is that this is a duplicate entry and therefore not a match for our William, although I could be wrong. Other researchers say he died about 1859 in Pike County, but this has not been confirmed. Details:

Another researcher says he died about 1865 in Pike County Arkansas. But the gravestone has no dates, and he’s married to a Stell:

“... the claim of Samuel Orrick has been established and duly consummated in conformit to law for the North half of the South East quarter of Section thirty three in Township ten North of Range thirty West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in Arkansas containing eighty acres
according to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General.
Now know ye, That there is therefore granted by the United States unto the said Samuel Orrick the tract of Land above describe; to have and to hold the said tract of Land with the appurtinances thereof, unto the said Samuel Orrick and to his heirs and assigns forever.

- Samuel Orrick was born after 1790 in North Carolina. He migrated to Lincoln County, Tennessee, before 1820. He migrated to Crawford County, Arkansas, and was enumerated on the 1823-1829 Arkansas Sheriff's Census along with his father, William. They were living in Big Creek Township, Crawford County. He was enumerated on the 1840 census living in Crawford County (21110010001/000111/2). He married Jane (last name unknown).
Samuel married Jane. Born in 1804. Jane died aft 1850; she was 46.
