RESEARCH NOTES:
- Chitterne is a Wiltshire Village on the Salisbury Plain, about 8 miles west of Stonehenge.
- I couldn’t find them in the 1881 census. I found her mother Anne living in Chitterne with an elderly servant and Jane’s brother, but she was nowhere near.
In 1862 Jane married Sampson GHEY. Occupation: Policeman.
