Jane married Sampson Ghey of Barford St Martin [Wiltshire] in 1862. He was a policeman, a new career replacing the village tithingman. They appear in the 1881 census when they were at home with Anne at High Street Cottage, Chitterne.

RESEARCH NOTES:
- Chitterne is a Wiltshire Village on the Salisbury Plain, about 8 miles west of Stonehenge.
- I couldn’t find them in the 1881 census. I found her mother Anne living in Chitterne with an elderly servant and Jane’s brother, but she was nowhere near.
In 1862 Jane married Sampson GHEY. Occupation: Policeman.
