- Couldn’t find any Weeks baptisms in Poughill. Found 56 entries in IGI for Susanna Weeks/Wix/Wickes/Weekes/Wicks for all of England, most in southern England: Kent, London, Sussex etc. Of possible note are:

- a Weeks marriage, perhaps c. 1580-ish, with a Grenville daughter of Stowe, in Kilkhampton:
Sir Richard Grenville and his wife Mary St. Leger's 7th child and youngest daughter, Bridget Grenville, married (1) Sir Christopher Harris, of Radford, in Plymstock, and (2) Rev. John Weeks. Maybe a clue to our Weekses.

It is my belief that George [Weeks] is the s/o Simon Weeks and Mary Stucley of Devon along with two brothers that are well known. One brother John became a minister after graduating from Cambridge and married Bridget Grenville 1st and Grace Cary second. He and Grace had at least two daughters, Grace who m. Fermoor Pepys and Elizabeth who m. Henry Atherton which may be of the same family that married into George Weeks' family. The second brother of George may be Francis Weeks who m. Wilmot Coffin and had the son Francis Weeks who married Elizabeh Luther and who founded the NY Weeks Families.
