On 28 Sep 1791 when Andrew was 25, he married Joanna BANBURY, daughter of Thomas BANBURY (~1726-1804) & Joan HIGGINS (~1732-1810), in Launcells, Cornwall, England. Born on 29 Mar 1769 in Bridgerule, Cornwall, England. Joanna died in Launcells, Cornwall, England, on 6 Mar 1854; she was 84.

- She was born 29 Mar 1769 at Bridgerule (ref LDS member in IGI), dau of Thomas Banbury and Joan Higgins (more information in FGR). Joanna BANBURY was bap 29 Mar 1769 at Bridgerule Devon, as Joan Bunbury, dau of Thomas & Joan (ref Cornwall OPC), and was a sister of Charles Banbury bap 1761 who was the father of Richard Banbury who married Mary Cornish; many descendants of both went to Knox, Co, Ohio (ref B.Banbury and FamilySearch records and Cornwall OPC).

- Joanna Banbury married an Andrew Hicks and adescendent of this family lives on a farm in Devonshire that was bought by one of our Banburys in 1762.…. Joanna married a Hicks! Now leap forward a generation or two and we find Richard Banbury/Mary Cornish in Knox County [OH USA] and we find Hicks in the neighborhood. I was never able to connect them until today, when we see that Joanna Banbury married a Hicks!!!! Could be part of the reason that the Banburys left England and went directly to Knox County, OH .

- 1841: Grace went to USA, arriving 7 Jul 1841 in New York, on the vessel Tamerlane, (indexed Ballamy) with daughter Arabella and Tristan & Ann Hicks; this Tristan or Tristram was a son of Thomas Hicks & Margaret Hocken who married 1800 at Saint Gennys and had many children; Tristram was bap 27 Sep 1813 at St Gennys; unable to say which Thomas Hexx this was, out of several possibilities (ref Ancestry New York Passenger and Immigration Lists). No record found of when Humphrey travelled, if he did.
