- 1868 Tax Assessment, Lot 7, Con 12, Wallace Twp, Ontario - Nov
Richard Johnston assessed dog tax of $1.00. The collector's rolls were signed and certified as correct on November 27, 1868, suggesting Richard was still alive at that time.
- 1868 Death, Wallace Twp, Wellington County, Ontario - Dec
Tax Collector's report dated March 25, 1869 indicating dog tax levied against Richard Johnston in November 1868 is still unpaid. Reason given: "owner dead". This suggests that Richard Johnston died between November 1868 and before March 27, 1869.
