RESEARCH NOTES:
- birthdate on typed copy of affidavit by HA Henson says his father’s birthday was 20 Oct 1825 - the year was crossed out and replaced with 1854. It is possible that this is wrong, and that the typed version simply reversed the last 2 digits of the year - 1825 instead of 1852. It was his father Jesse that was born in 1825. Various sources show birth year 1852, 1853, 1854.
- don’t yet know which daughter Mrs. J R Corbin was (maybe Mattie who married a Collins???...)
- Shawnee, OK was first opened to white settlement in the land run of 1890. Shawnee is the county seat for Pottawatomie County, OK, and is just east of Oklahoma City, and north of Dallas Texas
- 1910 marriage of son Henry A and Bessie was witnessed by Mrs. Mattie B. Wright and Ross C. Wright - could be Henry’s sister if was first married a Wright before she remarried before 1938 (obit for her father doesn’t list a Mrs. Wright).
They had the following children:
