From other researchers and sources:
- 1775 his father died (also a Henry). According to his parents marriage records, his father was a Yeoman. According to notes from another researcher and the will of this Henry in 1798 - they state that one of the holdings was Church Farm, which he settled on his son Henry when he died in 1775, who in turn settled this farm on his own son Henry in 1777 when he married. [there are 3 generations of Henry’s listed here]

- from a book by John Manwaring Baines entitled "Sussex Pottery". It reads...
"some time between 1736 and 1761 the land (Site of the old Brede Pottery) was aquired by Henry Richardson, who lived at Church House. Whether he actually started the works is not known, but the existance of a three acre Kiln Field, shown on a survey in 1715 suggests there was already some pottery or brickmaking activity in the area. We do know that Brede works became quite extensive for in 1786 Richardson received 2s 6d a load for carrying 14 load of potsherds to repair roads in the Parish."
He died on the 10th Oct 1798.

- Notes and Partial transcript of Will of Henry Richardson the elder of Fairlight, dated 5 Feb 1796, proved at Lewes 10 Oct 1798

- Henry didn’t mention his son Thomas in his will, either because he had made a good marrige, or they had a falling out. Will of Henry Richardson proved 10 Oct 1798 (cf rootsweb)
- John was the youngest of the children born to Henry R. [1726] and Mary Sweetlove. Among the others were Henry (1756), Thomas, father of Thomas Wakeham R and Susannah who married David Smith and it was their son, David Jr. who forbade his son Lewis to marry Damaris Richardson. His own mother was a Richardson!! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!
