- one source lists the family moving from Bradworthy Devon to Kilkhampton Cornwall before 1786 (Margaret’s baptism), and lists a 9th child Thomas Ashton born about 1784, location unknown.
- another source lists Francis Ashton marrying a Mary Prust 10 Sep 1762 in Morwenstow, and lists their 2 children:
1) Francis Ashton b 30 Jun 1771 Morwenstow, married Grace Boundy (no dates)
2) William Ashton b 10 Oct 1772 Bradworthy, married Pasco Boundy (born 1781?) on 6 May 1801

- another source says John Trewin married Gace Ashton 1? Sep 1767 Morwenstow - can’t find on OPC site and not listed in IGI batch M00213-3 or I05612-4 for Morwenstow
- 5 children found baptised in Kilkhampton between 1776-1788, starting 9 years after they were married. Perhaps they lived in Devon first before moving to John’s home town. There are other baptisms for children of John and Grace also in Week Saint Mary Cornwall (for instance Grace 01 Aug 1773 and others, sometimes no mother listed also in St Gerrans Cornwall- nothing obvious in Devon)
- the Eliz Ann Trewin, who married your Richard Andrew, was the daughter of Lawrence Trewin who was a son/grandson? of John and Grace Trewin nee Ashton [who was descended from a Cornish].
