- I already have a Gladys Irene Thomas Pickering (1914 - ) married to a Walter Paynter (from another researcher andd from the 2012 obit of “sister Muriel”). Can’t find a baptism under the name Pickering, Another research who knew the family says Gladys was born to Irene but raised by sister Eva as a Pickering.
- Muriel (Pickering) Thompson was predeceased by her sisters Lucy ( Fred ) Paynter, Gladys( Walter ) Paynter and Doris ( Stanley ) Wilson, according to the obit But Glady’s birthdate is impossibly close to other sibling Lucy Pickering.
- Regarding Gladys’ parentage, another researcher says: “I knew her well and still see her son Ivan. She was born to Irene, sister of Eva. She was raised by Eva and family. I am sure there was no legal adoption, it was just something that happened back then. Irene had other children. The family moved around a lot and had many issues. So, she is the same as Gladys Irene THOMAS, daughter of George Thomas and Irene Turner Louise Yeo (her birth date matches).
