COMPTON, Alfred "Edmund" - The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Friday, November 17, 2000, of Alfred "Edmund" Compton of 260All Weather Highway, St. Eleanors, age 78 years. Dear husband of Lillian A. Compton (nee Manderson). Loving father of Ian (Sheila), St. Eleanors;Alfred (Verna), Mt. Tryon; Douglas (Shirley), St. Eleanors; and Catherine(Bobby) Smith, Sydney Mines, N.S. Also lovingly remembered by his fivegrandchildren: Matthew, Trevor, Kevin, Jason and Linda. Surv ived by his two brothers, James (Nora), North Bay, Ontario; and Leonard (Sandy),Kenora, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Muriel (nee Yeo) Compton, and his brother, Laurie. Resting at the East Prince FuneralHome, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Sunday, then to St. John'sAnglican Church, St. Eleanors, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Donations in Edmund's memory to the St. John'sAnglican Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Saturday afternoon only, 2-4 p.m.
