On 20 Dec 1921 when Reginald Woolton was 36, he married Madelline Zilla “Queenie” YOUNG, daughter of Archie YOUNG & Madeline, in Scheepers Nek, Vryheid, Natal, South Africa. Born in 1890 in Howick, Republic Of South Africa.

- Daughter of Archie Young, the fifth surviving son of Surgeon General Henry Young of the Honourable East India Company’s Madras Army. His full name was Archibald James Sewell Young, born the year after the Indian Mutiny. He disappointed and displeased his father by failing to get into Sandhurst and so into the Army like his elder brother (Hal). When he left school he joined the Natal Mounted Police whose founder happened to be in England at the time recruiting for it, from -- the “sons of gentlemen”.
When his contract was up he stayed in South Africa, except for brief visits home. He did odd jobs having has very bad luck farming, his cattle twice being struck down by rindepest. He met and married a widow ten years older than himself with 3 small boys [George, Roderic and Bernard Beater]. They had two more children: Victor and “Queenie” ... With four boys to educate Archie & Madeline were never well off. Also Archie was, I am told, very generous to anyone in trouble so that money was never abundant.
They had the following children:
i.
John Horace “Jack” FOWLER (-<2015)
ii.
Richard Oliver “Dick” FOWLER (-~1988)
iii.
Nora “Boney” FOWLER (-~2010)
iv.
Geoffrey Reginald FOWLER (1932-<2015)
