RESEARCH NOTES
- 2016: Originally thought that a different John Boorman (born 1658 Cranbrook) ), son of John Boorman and Elizabeth Gillbert, was the John who married Mary Turner. Not so, according to other researchers:
“Carol was able to prove by a series of family wills and parish records that "her" 1653 John was the one who moved to Egerton and married Mary Turner on 15 Feb 1676/7, not "my" 1658 John (son of John Boorman and Elizabeth Gilbert). She then proved that the first son John of John Boorman and Mary Turner (who I initially thought was my 5G grandfather), bap. 8 Jun 1679 in Egerton, was the John Boorman bur. 21 Sep 1681 in Egerton (as a two-year-old toddler).” Her 1653 John was the son of John Boorman and Susanna Joy, elsewhere in this tree.
