- 1871 Harry Compton Creswell, married Margery Ann Bell in St. Eleanors on Aug 9, 1871.

- 1876 he inherited the farm from his father Robert, as per an installment of a series of articles written by Hubert G Compton titled “A Short Sketch of North St. Eleanors", this one published in the Charlottetown Guardian 16 Dec 1906:
“The writer in his last omitted mentioning, Robert, the youngest of the Craswell family.  He settled on part of the last purchase a little beyond the Post Office.  He became a very prosperous farmer and at his death bequeathed this valuable property to his youngest son Harry.  This farm did not extend to Richmond Bay, as the burying place of the first settlers in Lot 17 intervened between it and the Bay.
The ground in use for burials was enclosed by a substantial stone wall and a cross erected in the centre of the enclosure.  Father Poirier P.P. of Mischouche had the cross placed there in the year 1840 or about that time.  The same priest had the remains taken up and place in Miscouche cemetery many years since, but those who cultivate this field at the present day are strangers to these facts.”

Comments from his descendant::
- “[this article] specifically mentions my great-grandfather Harry Compton Creswell (he seems to have been the one who changed the ‘a’ to ‘e’) and my g-g- grandfather Robert, and their property with the house I was able to find on  my first visit to PEI. It’s interesting that the farm did not extend to Richmond Bay, because I always understood it did and that’s want the 1880’s atlas showed. Sounds like the original situation may have changed when the graves were moved -  and, more interesting, this does sound like it was the French cemetery.”]
- They farmed on land that was right on the edge of Richmond (now Malpeque) Bay and had ten children.
- Harry and his wife Marjorie had ten children. The family rhyme, perhaps to remember all their names was:
“There was Laura and Nellie and Winnie and Katie,
And Eva and Rachie so bold,
Then Annie and Jennie and Austin and Freddie,
The half of them all has never been told.”
They moved west to Saskatchewan, with most of his children, in 1905. He bought a farm at Long Lake, Saskatchewan, but also a house in Regina.

Last Rites Are Held for Harry Crompton Cresswell [penned corrections: Compton Creswell]
Funeral services for harry Crompton Creswell, aged 84, who died Tuesday at 3975 West Fourteenth, were held Thursday at the chapel of Center & Hanna, funeral directors. Rev H M Rae officiated and burial was in Moiuntain View Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Prince Edward Island in 1848. His father, the late Robert Creswell, was one of the early settlers of Prince Edward Island,d having reached there from Egland with his parents at the age of 14.
In 1905 the decease came west, settling in Saskatchewan. Six years ago he came to Vancouver. Besides his wife, he is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. V C Stordy, Mrs. G W Smith and Miss Catherine Creswell, all of Vancouver; Mrs. Charles Head of Regina, Mrs. W C Jones of Winnipeg and Mrs C E Seaman and Mrs W M Atkinson of Boston, and three sons, Austin of Seattle, Fred of Regina, and H N Creswell of Winnipeg.

- from another family researcher: “In 2002, I rented a car and headed north toward Richmond Bay, trying to relate the current roads and landscape to where Harry Compton Creswell's house was shown on the 1880 Atlas of Prince Edward Island.  As I drove past Compton Rd, I realized I'd inadvertently driven into a private driveway.  When the owner appeared, an elderly man named Mr McCormack, he was able to tell me that his grandfather had purchased it from the Creswells.  So I'm almost sure it's the house in which Catherine grew up, though possibly with additions and modernizations.  I was very glad I'd taken the photo when I returned several years later to find the house was no longer there.”
- 2013: from another researcher, the house is still standing, structurally sound, but unoccupied and in sad disrepair. “The house is located on North Drive in St Eleanors. It is the last house down on the right. I don't know the civic address.”

RESEARCH NOTES
- Two sons [of Robert and Catherine Creswell] were given the same name (Harry Compton Creswell) - last son given same name as first. The 2nd Harry was the ancestor (great-grandfather) of a family researcher. Father’s name misspelled on one Harry’s baptismal index entry (Ribert Craswell). Death record says he was born 6 JUl 1848 - if true couldnn’t have been baptised 1845.

This is probably her brother’s death notice:
- “Bell, George W.
Pioneer - 24 December 1904, page 5, col. 2
With deep regret we announce the death of George W. Bell, which occurred last Tuesday evening at his home in Roseville, Lot 4, after an illness of only a few hours. In his usual health he attended to the duties of his farm until the preceding evening. On Tuesday morning he complained of indisposition, growing gradually worse until his illness became serious. Medical aid was summoned, all that loving hands could do was done, but death came about five in the afternoon. The late Mr. Bell was a man of sterling character and his death has called forth widespread sorrow, for he was widely known and most highly esteemed by all who knew him.
He leaves, besides a large circle of friends, his widow and nine children, four of whom are in the United States, the remaining five at home. Three sisters: Mrs. James A. Sharp, Summerside, Mrs. Wm. Craswell, St. Eleanors, and Mrs. Harry Craswell, North St. Eleanors, and four brothers, all of whom reside in California, survive him. The brothers are John, San Francisco; Benjamin, Palo Alto; William and Alphonso (Bell Brothers), St. Helena, Cal. The latter, Alphonso, accompanied by his wife, visited his brother and sisters on the Island last summer. To the bereaved family we tender sincere sympathy. The remains were brought to the home of Mrs. Craswell on Thursday evening and will be interred this (Friday) in the family plot in Lot 16 cemetery.”
