This is probably her brother’s death notice:
- “Bell, George W.
Pioneer - 24 December 1904, page 5, col. 2
With deep regret we announce the death of George W. Bell, which occurred last Tuesday evening at his home in Roseville, Lot 4, after an illness of only a few hours. In his usual health he attended to the duties of his farm until the preceding evening. On Tuesday morning he complained of indisposition, growing gradually worse until his illness became serious. Medical aid was summoned, all that loving hands could do was done, but death came about five in the afternoon. The late Mr. Bell was a man of sterling character and his death has called forth widespread sorrow, for he was widely known and most highly esteemed by all who knew him.
He leaves, besides a large circle of friends, his widow and nine children, four of whom are in the United States, the remaining five at home. Three sisters: Mrs. James A. Sharp, Summerside, Mrs. Wm. Craswell, St. Eleanors, and Mrs. Harry Craswell, North St. Eleanors, and four brothers, all of whom reside in California, survive him. The brothers are John, San Francisco; Benjamin, Palo Alto; William and Alphonso (Bell Brothers), St. Helena, Cal. The latter, Alphonso, accompanied by his wife, visited his brother and sisters on the Island last summer. To the bereaved family we tender sincere sympathy. The remains were brought to the home of Mrs. Craswell on Thursday evening and will be interred this (Friday) in the family plot in Lot 16 cemetery.”
