- Another researcher on ancestry [Crabe/Wilson Family Tree by cdcrabe] says that this John Cornish married Mary Brent (1769- ) on 16 Sep 1790 in Sutcombe Devon (sources IGI) and had a daughter Susannah Cornish (1795-1855) who married a William Crabb (1794-1877) on 9 Jun 1825 in Sutcombe Devon and who died 1855 in Holsworthy. Lists 3 children for Susannah: Mary Ann Crabb (1831-1880), William Crabb (1833- ) and John Crabbe (1836-1915), They may be descended from Susannah through her son John Crabbe (1836-1915) and Eliza Page (1842-1925).
- in a later generation there is another John Cornis who (b. 25 Dec 1827 Holsworthy Devon -11 Aug 1902 Garfield, Clare Michigan) who married Manry Ann Taylor (bap. 22 Jul 1832 Chilsworthy Devon - 1857 Usborne Huron Ontario) - marred 11 Occt 1849 Holsworthy Devon. They had 5 children. Don’t yet know how or if they connect.

- There was another William and Susanna Cornish in Malborough Devon about the same time - children’s baptisms overlapped. There was also a William and Susanna who baptised their son James in Devonport (Nonconformist) 27 Nov 1797.
- There is another William Cornish bapt 15 Sept 1760 Malborough Devon, s/o William and Mary Cornish. He may have married a Susanna Cove 13 Nov 1787 in Malborough

- Marriage record to Susanna Darke found by others on FMP.
Can’t find marriage to Susanna Darke on familysearch.org, but did find others including a marriage to Delia Chubb 16 Mar 1788 Holsworthy, plus 4 baptisms for this couple in Holsworthy:
1) Mary Cornish 17 Feb 1793
2) Susanna Cornish 19 Jan 1789, died 23 Jan 1789
3) Susanna Cornish 14 June 1795
4) Delia Cornish 17 Feb 1799

- Another tree on familysearch - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/STSQ-9SX - suggests a partnership with a Grace Trick b 1764, and a child Richard Trick/Cornish b 1785
Similarly, a tree on ancestry says he married Grace Trick 26 Apr 1785 Holsworthy; Grace was born 1764 in Black Torrington Devon. Son Richard Trick Cornish born 1784 Holsworthy - only source listed is other ancestry trees.
The marriage certificate for the William Cornish and Grace Trick says William was a widower, so do we have the right William for this?… [separately entered in this tree for now]
