James M Hunt, 27, farmer, 4000, 4000, born Missouri, US citizen
Susan M Hunt, 25, keeping house, born Missouri
Elizabeth J Hunt, 6, born Missouri
Frances R Hunt, 4, born Missouri
Emma J Hunt, 1, born Missouri
NOTE: living next door to Jonathan and Malindy S Hunt (dwelling 2)

From other researchers:
- It would be believable that James M. had a daughter whose name was Elizabeth as that was his mother's name. And it's also the name of John Bethel's mother.
- If James M. and Susan had a daughter named Elizabeth then she must have died before 1880 [not listed in census with parents] and if so would surely be buried in Round Grove but there would not be a gravestone, at least one still there. There are several unmarked graves in the row that James M. is buried in and my guess has been that Susan and Jonathan are probably two of them. According to the gravestone transcription book I have published in 1986 by the Lawrence Co. Historical Society, Elizabeth (mother of Daniel, Jonathan, Lewis Wilford, etc.), Lewis and Evaline are buried south of the middle cemetery drive and in row 5. In row 6 are Nancy Hunt (wife of Nathan, another brother of Daniel, Jonathan, etc.), 4 spots that may be graves (according to this book), James M. Hunt and Nathan Hunt.

RESEARCH NOTES:
- 1880 census - NOT living with parents
- No further mention - did she die young?
