From other researchers:
- I'm also attaching the Nov. 4, 1909 obit., The Lawrence Co. Record, of James M. Hunt. His second wife was Sarah Robinson Gale and according to their g-granddaughter, Gayle Brown Cameron, James and Sarah were divorced. Sarah is buried in the Round Grove Cem. under the name Gale. It mentions that James M. had been a member of the Limestone Baptist Church in Dade Co. And as we know, both Limestone and Mt. Pisgah [church that his first wife Susan attended] ceased to exist many years ago, Limestone being burned during the War and the information from the LCHS indicates that Mt. Pisgah ceased to exist after burning at some point.
- 1909 obit clipping - Nov. 4, 1909 obit., The Lawrence Co. Record - Missouri:
“J. M. Hunt Dead
After an illness of but a few days J. M Hunt died at his residence in this city of Pneumonia. He was the son of Uncle Jonathan Hunt one of the pioneers of Missouri who came to this country in the year of 1841. Deceased was 67 years and 6 months old. At the age of fifteen years he was converted and united with the Limestone Baptist church of Dade county.
In 1861 he married Miss Susan Hunt and to them were born four children. Mrs Hunt died in the year 1896.
His second marriage was to Mrs Sarah Gale who with the children survive him.
He was a soldier during the Civil war and served in Co. “B” 15th Mo Cavalry. In 1894 he was elected too the office of Collector of Lawrence couty, a position which he filled in a very efficient manner. The funeral was preached at the Baptist church at Round Grove by Rev. J T Bratton, pastor, and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church.”

From other researchers:
- Susan Malviney Hunt may have been born on Feb 8, 1846 and died Jan 12 1897. Birthdate from a family Bible that had belonged to William A Hunt.
- I'm attaching an obit [as above] of Mrs. Susan Hunt, wife of Jonathan's oldest son, James M. Hunt, that I found in the LCHS files which were copied from old newspapers and it mentions Mt. Pisgah. Susan Hunt Hunt was the daughter of Lewis Wilford and Evaline Allen Hunt and therefore a first cousin of James M. (We may be Red Necks if our family tree doesn't branch???) And of course the Round Grove Baptist Church wasn't organized until 1865 and after the Civil War although church services were sometimes held in ??? schoolhouse before the war. (Not sure of the name right now, White Oak? Jonathan Hunt is said to have done some preaching there.)
