RESEARCH NOTES
- story from another researcher:
“William and Lydia had a son, William Dwight Mead (1823-1916), who was born in Coxsackie, Greene County, New York. He married Charlotte Effie Fullagar (1826-1920), daughter of William and Rachel Fullagar also of Greene County, New York. William and Charlotte moved for a time to Beloit Wisconsin (1860 US Census) where he was a farmer, and supposedly also was in the jewelry business with Stephen Henry Clement. William thereafter contracted with the Union Army as a Civil War quartermaster, and then retired and returned to Greene County, New York. They had a daughter and two sons, one of which was Frank Fullagar Mead (1858-1939), who was born in Belvidere, Illinois. ”
