Breaches Leaze was left by Henry Bunce of Earlestone, Burghclere (made will in 1780) to his son John Bunce (made will in 1796), who devised it to his son Henry Bunce and also owned Grubbed Coppice but made no devise thereof in his will. Henry Bunce junior died in 1814 leaving four sisters (Betsy North of Barton Stacey, widow; Charity Morris wife of Charles Morris of Wherwell, yeoman; Sarah Holdway wife of Robert Holdway of Crawley, maltster, and Lucy Bunce of Longparish, spinster); they (with the surviving husbands) sold the property to Robert Phillips Vincent, gentleman, in 1816. He mortgaged it to John Brown of Hannington, yeoman, in 1821, and in 1824 the trustees of his will sold the equity of redemption to John Brown
