- Raised in Penticton, BC, Canada
- Her oldest brother was named Claude - he spent some time as a missionary in BC, Maple Ridge, Lytton etc. (from her Catherine Koppana via Facebook)
- Mum was born in London in 1909. Her father died in 1911 and Grandmother decided to move to Canada with her two younger sons and two younger daughters. Claude was already there, a clergyman, doing medicine at McGill prior to heading West. They returned in 1921 and later Mum went to the Architectural Association`s School of Architecture, one of very few women there. She met Dad.
My mother`s eldest brother was a Claude, he spent some time as a missionary in BC, Maple Ridge, Lytton etc.
- My mother`s family is interesting. Her grandfather Cooke was the Ist cousin of Robert Gregory, Dean of St Paul`s in London. They came from Derbyshire and Nottingham.
