- In the 1930 Census Bill's grandparents and father were living in Madison . It's interesting that his grandparents lived at the same address from the time the moved to Madison and his parents lived above them when they married in 1936 and continued there until Bill was about 9 years old… Bill recalls living at 612 South Brearly and has a recollection of the family being on the second and third floor of this structure. He doesn't have a recollection of his grandparents at this location, although he recalls going to meet the milkman and the iceman as they drove their horse drawn wagons down the street and made their deliveries… "Feeding apples and carrots to the horses and having the ice man chip some ice down to us on those hot summer days… what thrills!!"!
