Notes from other researchers
- Enlisted in the Army in the First World War. and/or WWII
- Lost track of him but understand he married a girl from Halifax and rarely returned to the Island.
- Jack was in WW2. Charlie says he was in WW1 (end) and lied about his age b/c he would have been under 18 for WW1. I have never heard that from my mother or via Grannie Squarebriggs. Laing told me years ago that Jack tried to enlist but they sent him away for WW1. There are no records for him in the LAC for WW1. I have his medals from WW2, nothing from WW1.
Jack Hamilton married (Living).
