1924 - married on July 16 1924 by Rev. Charles DeWolfe Whie in St Johns Anglican Church, St Eleanors. Attendants at their wedding were Miss Ruth Brown and Mr. Roy Tanton (died before 1974) .They lived in Sherbrooke until 1949 when they moved to St Eleanors where they continued to reside in 1974.

1974 - Mr and Mrs Bert Brown of 110 East Drive, St Eleanors, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary - friends and relatives gathered at their home during the afternoon and evening of July 16 1974 - their photo was published in the paper. Mrs. Brown is thermer Marie Compton, daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Mills) Compton of St Eleanors. Mr. Brown is son of the late Charles and Ellen (Darby) Brown of Portland, OR. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters (names partly cut off in photocopy): Ern____ Darby, Allen, Ellen (N?__ Hollis Woodside), and La____ (Mrs. Donald Morrison; 12 grandchildren and ____ great grandchildren. Out of town guests at their golden anniversary party included their son Ernie, his wife Bernice, and their f___ children, Gregory, Ange___, Donna, Kevin, and Rob____. 1988 - Funeral for Mrs. Marie Brown, wife of late Bert Brown of 110 East Drive St Eleanors was held on Monday Apr 4 1988. St Johns Anglican Church St Eleanors, 2pm service by Father M J Collier. Honorary pallbearers were Prowse Chappell, Arthur MacKinnon, Bill Trowsdale, Ken Mills, and Joe MacIsaac. Active pallbearers were Fred MacDonald, Percy Waite, Erskine Waite, Lou Bulger, Russell Laughlin and Byran McEwen. Flower bearers wee: Ensor DesRoches, Victor Ramsay, Jim Rogers and Roy Kristiansen. Interment later in St Johns Cemetery St Eleanors.

- Apr 1976 obituary - Albert Edwin (Bert) Brown of 110 East Drive, St Eleanors, dies at 85 on Tuesday in the Prince County Hospital. He was born in Portland, OR, a son of Charles Brown and Ellen (Darby) Brown and lived in the St Eleanors - Sherbrooke area for more than 50 years. HE followed Farming for a period of his life and also worked as a fireman at the local air base. He was a veteran of WWI and a member of the Summerside Legion branch. He belonged to St Johns Anglican Church St Eleanors.

- 2011: Jean Kristiansen (nee Compton) passed away at 10:34 am yesterday morning [26 Apr 2011] in the Summerside, PEI hospital.  She was 93 years old, and still smart and aware.  She had lived for many years on North Drive in St Eleanors PEI, so was very well known and respected in the community. She always loved visits from her large family, and loved to knit and crochet.  She became ill only a short time before her death, caused by a bleeding ulcer that wouldn't respond to treatment - they couldn't operate due to her advanced age.

The death occurred peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, of Jean Kristiansen, of St. Eleanors, aged 93 years. Born in North St. Eleanors, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Mills) Compton. Survived by her daughters

Predeceased by her husband Paul Kristiansen; daughter Ethel; son Ernest; grandchildren Glenn and Tracey; brothers Holden and Crealman Compton; and by her sister Marie Brown. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Friday, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Eleanors. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated

Bent is Sophie's (one of grampy's sisters) son. He, his wife Ingrid and daughter Tina were my tour guides for the day.” “The road sign [Kristiansvej] leading to Leif and Ingelise's house. Leif is Kristian's (one of grampy's brothers) son. The road was named after Kristian. Vej is Danish for road... Leif and Ingelise...live on the original property where Hans and Sophie lived.””Every time anyone from Denmark referred to grampy by name in an e-mail it was Poul, not Paul. Poul is the typical Danish name.”
- He immigrated to Canada in 1927 and settled in PEI. For the first 6 years of his Island life he spent working in the Charlottetown area as a farmhand.
- In 1937 he married Jean Compton and the settled in St Eleanors. Paul then started working at the Barrel Factory. Until his retirement in 1973 he was employed as a carpenter at CFB Summerside
- Paul and Jean raised a family of 7 children and their home was founded on Christian principles. Their door was ever open in welcome to relatives and friends.
- Paul was a member of the Anglican layment of St Marys and St Johns parishes - he was pictured in the paper at one of their Tuesday night meetings.
- Blessed with good health, he wa active up till the time of his death in 1989 in his 81st year.
- 1989 - he was survived by his wife Jean, 2 sons, 5 daughters, 30 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchilddren, 1 sister, Sofie of St. Heddinge, Denmark. Predeceased by infant son Ernest, infant daughter Ethel, 2 grandchildren Glen and Tracey, 3 sistsers and 4 brothers: Kristine, Pouline, Anna, Lars, Nils Peter, Hans and Kristian.
