- Richard Boorman and Mary Russell were married 23 October 1805 in St. Mary's Church in Lenham, Kent, England. Their marriage was recorded in the parish register. Furthermore, their marriage appears in the book Transcriptions of the marriages, banns and publications of St. Mary's Church, Lenham, Kent, 1558-1837, located at the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Richard and Mary's marriage banns were posted at the Church on 15 September 1805, 22 September 1805, and 29 September 1805 (three consecutive Sundays, as required by English law at that time). The witnesses to their marriage were Joanne Boorman and Mary Bigg.

- Richard and Mary became involved with the Ebenezer Independent Church (a "nonconformist" church) in Lenham. Seven of Richard and Mary's nine children were baptized in the Ebenezer Independent Church: Mary, John, Thomas, Richard, an unknown male child, Isaac, and Olive. Their second and third children (Eliza and George) were baptized in the Church of England St. Nicholas Church in Boughton-Malherbe (about two miles from Lenham). Richard and Mary may have married in St. Mary's Church in Lenham because English law at that time only recognized marriages by the Church of England.

- Finding the death date and place, or burial date and place, of Richard and Mary have proven to be extremely elusive. They have not yet been discovered in any English historical records. Unfortunately, although parish baptism registers exist from the Ebenezer Independent Church, burial registers apparently have been lost or were never kept. Richard and/or Mary's burials could have been recorded in such registers. Based on records that have been found, it can only be determined that Richard and Mary both died sometime between 10 September 1821 and 30 June 1837.

- At least 3 of their sons emigrated from England to Quebec City, Canada: Richard Jr, John, George.
On 23 Oct 1805 when Richard was 25, he married Mary RUSSELL in St Marys, Lenham, Kent, England. Born in 1781 in Lenham, Kent, England. Christened on 9 Dec 1781 in Lenham, Kent, England. Mary died in Kent, England, aft 9 Sep 1821; she was 40.
