The death of Mrs. Sarah Carr, formerly of North St. Eleanors, occurred in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, Nov. 29th. She had been ill only a month. Mrs. Carr was formerly Miss Sarah Compton of St. Eleanors. She married George Washington Carr and lived till her husband's death on the old Carr homestead, North St. Eleanors. There her son Villiers still resides. Following her husband's death sixteen years ago she removed to Calgary, and ever since has made her home with her daughter Olive. Her body will arrive here this evening and the funeral will be Tuesday at 2 o'clock from the home of her son, Mr. H. V. Carr, North St. Eleanors, to the United Church in Lot 16. Sympathy is extended to the immediate family and a wide circle of relatives. The sons and daughters are: Rev. A. Lee Carr, Wembley, Alberta; Messrs. Evan E. Carr, Nantin, Alberta; Austin C. Observe Golden Wedding - Mr & Mrs Henry A Compton, Farmington, celebrawted their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday at their home on Maple Avenue. Mr nd Mrs Compton, the former Miss Eliza M Pratt, were married at Farmington, July 31, 1899 by the Rev Freetpm Starbird. He was raised on the same farm at St Eleanor, PEI. settled by his great grandfather, Col Harry C Compton in 1797. The ouple has resided at Farmington the ipast 50 years and he has been engaged in building houses for 45 years. At present he is building a story and a half bungalow on the Farmington-Strong road.

The deceased was born at St. Eleanor's to Mr. & Mrs Hubert Stanley Compton on April 6, 1874 and was a brother of the late Stanley Compton.
Each summer he has paid a visit to his native province. There are left to charish his memory his widow 7 two sisters. Mrs Bell Kennedy of Schenectady, NY and Miss Eleanor C. Compton of Waban, Mass., as well as a number of nieces & nephew. Interment was in Framingham Cemetery.”
